FIRST PRIZE: 1962 CORVETTE

Our First Prize in our 28th annual classic raffle is this beautiful 1962 Corvette, the last year for the C-1's. This Corvette has a rare automatic transmission—a feature that we have been asked for years to find. 14,531 Corvettes that were manufactured in 1962, and you could win this 1 of 988 that have the very rare factory power windows. In Roman Red with a Black interior, this is a snazzy combination. There's a removable hardtop, all original bonding strips, spinner hubcaps, and new tires. The engine is a later model 350 V8 NOM with the original mileage of 59,972.

Appraised at $62,000.

SECOND PRIZE: 2003 HARLEY-DAVIDSON

Our Second Prize is a 100th anniversary Road King in Gunmetal Pearl paint with silver stripes—you don't get any more classic than that look with the Harley roar! It has a 1450cc, air cooled, fuel injected, V-twin engine and a 5-speed transmission. There is also a passenger back rest. This was a one-owner motorcycle and was meticulously maintained with original mileage of 33,456.

Appraised at $9,000.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who is organizing the Classic Raffle? The Classic Raffle is organized by The Theater Project, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, that runs the Majestic Theater in West Springfield, MA (view permit). Net proceeds from the raffle pay for operating expenses and for producing live theater at the Majestic. The Theater Project's mission is to provide actors, actresses, and theater technicians from the Pioneer Valley a professional environment in which to perform — the Majestic Theater.

Who donates the prizes? The prizes for the Majestic Theater's Classic Raffle are NOT donated. The Majestic Theater has always purchased the prizes for each year's raffle. We own both vehicles, with the titles under our corporate name, The Theater Project, Inc. See copies of the titles from the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles below:

What are the appraisal values of the prizes? The 1962 Corvette has been appraised at $62,000, and the 2003 Harley-Davidson has been appraised at $9,000. Both vehicles have been appraised by William D. O'Donnell (MA Appraiser License 014513). See the links below for more detail:

Is it safe to order raffle tickets online? Our online ordering service has recently been upgraded! It's now provided by Shopify, which is rated as one of the best ecommerce sites and is fully PCI DSS compliant (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). We accept all major credit cards as well as PayPal.

We also take raffle ticket orders by phone. Call the Majestic Theater Box Office at (413)747-7797. Our current box office call-in hours are Monday–Friday 10am–1pm.

How do I know my ticket numbers? After ordering, your raffle tickets will be hand processed by the Majestic Theater Box Office staff, which may take 3–5 business days. Your raffle ticket stubs, with the raffle numbers on them, will be mailed out to you at no additional charge.
When is the drawing and how are winners determined? December 31, 2023 at the Majestic Theater in West Springfield, MA. All raffle tickets are entered into the official raffle barrel, and the barrel will be spun 29 times (one for each year of the raffle and one for good luck). The first ticket drawn from the barrel is the First Prize Winner of the 1962 Corvette, and the second ticket drawn from the barrel is the Second Prize Winner of the 2003 Harley-Davidson.
How will I know if I have won? Winners need not be present to win. Once the winning tickets are drawn, Producing Director Danny Eaton will call both winners via the phone numbers they provided when entering the raffle. (Yes, this call comes shortly after midnight!)

If you are not available to answer the first phone call, don't worry — the Majestic will continue to try to get in touch with you over the coming days.

The names of the winners of the Classic Raffle, along with the winning ticket numbers, are published on the Majestic Theater website and Majestic Theater Facebook Page as soon as possible, usually on New Year's Day. Photos of the winners with the vehicles are added once the winners collect their prizes.
Taxes, license, registration, and transportation? All of these things are the responsibility of the winners. This raffle is registered with the City of West Springfield (view permit) and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
When can I accept my prize? All winners must take ownership and possession of their prizes no more than 30 days after the raffle drawing.

ABOUT THE MAJESTIC

Locally-produced professional live theater since 1997

Before it was a live theater, local residents may remember West Springfield's Majestic Theater as a movie house. It has since been renovated and reimagined to bring live performances to the Pioneer Valley area, giving local performance and technical artists the opportunity to thrive.

Every season at the Majestic consists of five productions (including at least one musical) featuring local actors. In addition to the subscription season, the summer includes children's theater, concerts, plays, open mic nights, and improvisational comedy shows.

Recently named the best place to see live theater in the Pioneer Valley in the Valley Advocate Readers' Poll, the Majestic continues to offer great theater thanks to the support and generosity of its 4200+ subscribers. The Classic Raffle is the Majestic's primary fundraiser and has been an annual tradition for 27 years.
